Mothers & Sisters: How Jesus Befriended Women with Rebecca McLaughlin

In this women’s forum, author Rebecca McLaughlin speaks on the unique interactions and friendships Jesus had with women. Her new book, Jesus through the Eyes of Women, explores what she calls the “revolutionary” way Jesus drew in and cared for women around Him. Join us on Thursday, December 8, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the FM Worship Center, for a time of teaching and Q&A. The forum is open to all women, and we encourage you to invite your friends and family. Cost is $15 and includes a copy of McLaughlin’s book.

Christmas Concert

Christmas is almost here! To start the Advent season, we invite you to join us for a Christmas concert on December 9 or 10. This will be a time of music, storytelling, and art that reflects the awe and wonder of Christ’s arrival. There will be a show on Friday, December 9, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, December 10, at 3 p.m. Tickets for adults and students are $15, and tickets for kids 12 and under are $5. Childcare will be available for birth–3 for $5. Registration is required. Visit vll.ge/christmasconcert for more info.

Giving Tree

Communities in Schools of North Texas serves almost 4,000 at-risk students per year. Many of these children do not have adequate clothing or shoes for the winter season. This Christmas, consider partnering with CISNT by visiting the Giving Tree table in the foyer to pick up an angel. Each angel includes information on the needs and Christmas wishes of a particular child. All donations are due by Sunday, December 11. This is a great way for you and your family to show the love of Jesus to our community this season. Learn more!
