Life Story

I grew up in Norman, Oklahoma, where we occasionally went to church with friends and extended family. I was about 10 years old when I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior, but I didn’t fully comprehend my salvation nor have a relationship with Him.

After high school in 1990, I moved to the Dallas area and started attending church regularly. This was when I really felt my heart change and my desires shift toward wanting more of Him. This was also the time period that I met my husband, Darren, who was already a strong Christian. We joined a church together, and I started pursuing Christ like never before.

In 2000, we had our first daughter, Lindsay, followed by our second daughter, Sophia four years later. We started attending The Village in 2005 and have been loving and pursuing the Lord as a family as well as individually.

Hope for The Village Church

My hope is that every single person who walks through our doors feels loved, accepted, and has a strong sense of the Lord's peace. I hope we are overflowing with so much love that it allows God to change hearts and make much of Him.
