Church Planter

Life Story

I was raised in a Christian home in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and have always attended church. I got saved around age 6 when my parents decided it was time to share the gospel with me. After believing in Jesus and trusting Him to forgive my sin, I began to share the gospel with my brother and neighbors. I remained a “good” kid while growing up, but God needed to teach me a lot before I could mature in Christ and do things for His kingdom.

During my teenage years, I started serving in church and grew in my relationship with God. I started out legalistic, but God showed me that I needed to depend on His grace to live my Christian life. Through my college years, I began to see things in the Bible that I had never seen before. I saw the doctrines of grace and realized God is sovereign in the salvation of humanity. I saw that all the spiritual gifts are needed for the Church to function as God commands. A passion for evangelism and missions grew in me throughout my teenage and young adult years. I wanted to go into the mission field, but God showed me it was not the time.

While assisting Impacto Church in San Pedro Sula, one of my pastors introduced me to a woman who would later become my wife. She also had a passion for missions, and after we got married we talked about going to the mission field together. The years passed, and my pastors felt it was time for me to train for ministry. They called me to participate in our church’s seminary to become a pastor.

Due to God's plans being different from mine, He led me to The Village Church to be trained to plant churches and go to the mission field to reach more people for Christ. God has definitely been at work in my life, and He has led me through hard times and joyful times in which I have seen His hand molding, shaping, and forming me in order to be used by Him. I want to be an instrument in God’s hand so that He gets the glory for the grace He wants to extend to the peoples of the earth.

Hope for The Village Church

My hope for The Village is that we would be humble servants of Christ who love each other and recognize the need to reach the unreached for Christ. I hope we always remain under the lordship of Jesus so that we can collaborate in love and service with other churches and movements that are reaching God’s elect for the glory of His Name.
