I grew up in a small town in Michigan with two older brothers and a loving mom and dad. I went to summer camp on the beaches of Lake Michigan, spent time at youth group during the week, and went to church services on Sundays. As I grew older, my attendance at church decreased, however. My family was very busy with athletics, and weekends were spent at competitions rather than church. I first put my trust in Jesus when I was in elementary school, but it wasn’t until college that I truly began to fall in love with Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
In college, as I faced the pressure of being a Division I athlete and the hardship of a family member wrestling with addiction, I began to ask tough questions from the deepest parts of my heart. I got involved with Athletes in Action and surrounded myself with women who were rooted in their faith. I confidently made the decision to completely devote myself to following Jesus, becoming more firmly rooted in the truths of the gospel and experiencing Christ’s love through His Word.
Fast forward a few years, and I met my husband, Josh, at the University of Michigan. We got married and moved to DFW in 2018. I have experience working as a program coordinator for a non-profit organization, substance abuse therapist, and small business coordinator. In my free time, you can find me spending time crafting and spending time outside with my husband and our dog, Snow.
Hope for The Village Church
My hope is that we would seek to always be a church where people feel like they are known and cared for while continuously being pointed back to the person, work, and good news of Jesus Christ.
