God is above all things. He is all-knowing, all-powerful, and ever-present. He is not constrained by human limitations. Christ, the image of the invisible God, the incarnate Deity, was sent to us that we might know God in the flesh.

Through Christ’s redemption, we now image Him. People, made in His image, empowered by His Spirit, to embody His essence.

He made us like Him, but He is not like us. He is more than us and this is good. He is in us and with us. This is astounding.

We had no words for Him, so, in order that we may know Him, He defined Himself. His definitions are invitations. His attributes call us to come and see that He is not like us, but we are like Him. He is above us and within us.
