Opportunities to Join Our Staff in Making Disciples

About Employment

Our hope as a staff is to proactively host and serve people, be hopeful and truthful because of the gospel, and be committed to pursuing wholeness of heart, mind, strength, and soul. We are one team with one mission: to love God, love people, and make disciples of Jesus Christ.

We do not take lightly the call we believe God has placed on our staff to shepherd our people and push back darkness. Therefore, we require our employees to agree with The Village Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same. Likewise, we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our children and adults in our ministry programs. As a part of that commitment, we have preventative measures in place to safeguard each child, as well as those who serve them. These preventative measures include awareness training, skillful screening processes, policies and procedures, background checks, and monitoring and oversight to help us maintain compliance and accountability. Furthermore, we understand and follow our reporting obligations in accordance with the state of Texas.

If you feel called to be a part of this mission, we encourage you to apply for a job or one of our internships. Due to the large number of applications that we receive, we are only able to contact candidates selected for interviews.

The Leadership Ministry Internship Program exists to discover, develop, and deploy the next generation of spiritual leaders. We help emerging leaders discover their heart and talent and actively develop those gifts for transformational leadership in the church, non-profits, and the marketplace.

Interns work 25 hours per week for 10 months, receiving practical spiritual mentorship, theological training, and equipping in spiritual leadership.

Through our relationship with Southern Seminary and Dallas Theological Seminary, interns can receive seminary course credit by participating in the seminary track of our nine-month Training Program.

What is the duration of the Internship Program?
Internships begin on August 16, 2022, and end on May 31, 2023.

Are the internships paid?
Internships at The Village Church are paid. Interns will receive $1,000 per month.

What are the expected work hours of an intern?
The total time commitment is 25 hours weekly, Sundays–Thursdays.

What are the possible seminary credit hours?
All interns have the opportunity to choose the seminary track of the Training Program. The seminary track is not required and does not count toward the 25 weekly hours. The Training Program seminary track currently provides interns the ability to earn 21 core hours of seminary credit to transfer directly to Southern Seminary or Dallas Theological Seminary upon completion.

Can the seminary credits be transferred?
The seminary hours cannot be transferred outside of Southern Seminary or Dallas Theological Seminary.

Can I work as an intern at The Village if I have a full-time job?
Keeping a full-time job during an internship at The Village would not be feasible. The majority of hours necessary for each position require interns to work in our offices throughout the week to gain experience and mentorship.

Does The Village provide medical benefits for interns?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer medical benefits for interns.

Will The Village cover my moving expenses?
If you choose to relocate to the DFW area for an internship, you will be responsible for any moving expenses.

Does The Village help international intern candidates secure work visas for internships?
No, The Village does not assist international candidates in obtaining work visas.
