Role

The Event Coordinator is responsible for supporting The Village Church departments with the coordination of events and retreats. This crucial aspect of ministry is accomplished by planning and facilitating the event they are tasked with from concept to execution while creating and maintaining a radically hospitable environment for event guests.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute events and retreats, managing timeline, budget, and vendor relations 
  • Coordinate staff and volunteer assignments for onsite, churchwide events
  • Partner with WayForward and ministries to plan summer WayForward trips
  • Work in concert with other Event Coordinator to provide support for weddings and funerals held at TVC

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith, and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • 2+ years of event coordination
  • High attention to detail, creative 
  • Proficient in multitasking
  • Excellent people skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent with project management tools, such as Asana
  • Proficient in problem-solving 
  • Ability to travel to overnight, off-site events
