Role

The Associate Elementary Minister is an integral part of the programmatic and ministerial efforts to serve and lead families of Kindergarten–5th graders and the volunteers who work with them. This is a part-time position (28 hours per week) that focuses on planning, preparing, and overseeing weekend services, discipling and caring for volunteer teams, and providing general ministerial presence to TVC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute weekend services in Kids Village. 
  • Disciple, develop, and care for volunteer teams, individual volunteers, families, and children. 
  • Assist in the development and management of the elementary curriculum. 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith, and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • High school diploma required
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Natural leadership skills, ability to cast vision and manage a team
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Identifying and training leaders
  • Administrative skills to include knowledge of Google Suite
  • Adapting to changing work conditions and roles
