We exist to love God, love people, and make disciples of Jesus Christ. Out of this mission, joyful service is the overflow of discipleship, serving those in and outside the church. One of the ways we pursue and live out this discipleship trait is through volunteer opportunities.
There are a lot of different ways to serve at The Village. If the list is too daunting, you can filter by campus, ministry or Areas of Interest.

The audio engineer is responsible for the set-up, monitoring and adjusting of all Worship Center audio equipment. The audio engineer focuses attention and removes distractions by crafting a professional mix and making seamless audio transitions to allow the gospel to be heard through singing songs unto the Lord and hearing the Word taught (Col. 3:16; Eph. 5:19).
Drive shuttles to and from various ministry events.
The camera operator captures stage-wide to close-up shots of the announcements and teaching pastor while controlling and monitoring focus, shot composition and movement (with direction from the Technical Director) so that the speaker can be seen without distraction to the gospel that is being proclaimed (Eph. 4:12).
To facilitate our check in process for Kids Village. They welcome families so that parents feel confident about leaving their children and kids feel cared for and excited about being in Kids Village. These volunteers will be at the front desk providing name tags to the children and corresponding tags to the parents, as well as answering any registration questions that may arise.
Greet and check in students, place them in groups. Help with set up and tear down.
Help during checkin time: 30 minutes before each service until 15 minutes after the service starts. Help checkin families. Can serve once a month or as frequent as weekly.

In this role, volunteers have the opportunity to shepherd and care for our littlest ones during weekend worship services through singing, dancing and teaching the truth of God’s Word.
Encourage, mentor and support small group leaders. Meet with them once a month, and stay in contact during the week by phone, text or email.
Communion Cleanup volunteers serve by discarding unused communion elements, washing and drying trays, and preparing the trays for use the next Sunday.
Serve by preparing elements for people to worship through communion during our weekend services.
Volunteers on the Connect Team answer basic questions about the church and help connect guests and members to the life of the church.
Welcome and connect with first-time young adult visitors.
The director helps focus attention and eliminate distractions by ensuring all service elements and transitions are known by everyone involved in service (Production staff, Worship team, pastors, etc.). The director is responsible for cueing transitions with the audio engineer and ProPresenter operator throughout service so that the gospel can be heard and seen without distraction (Rom. 10:17).
Create a warm and welcoming environment at Young Adult events. Includes decorating and food/drink set up.
Welcomes families and checks kids into classrooms.

Facilitates check in and hospitality. Prays for students while in small groups.
Hospitality Team Members foster a warm and inviting atmosphere in the Worship Center of the Southlake campus, provide newcomers to the church a meaningful and personal interaction, and help to connect them to the life and mission of the church.

To communicate Gospel Centered teaching using the written word of God. A Large Group Teacher should be mature in their own understanding of Scripture and able to communicate basic biblical truths in a compelling way that meets kids at their level.
Lead in worship as a vocalist in various bands.
Facilitate marriage small groups for couples interested in strengthening their marriage.
Serve our members and community by taking meals to families who need them. After applying, you will be added to an email list that will receive updates when meals are needed.
Serve The Village Church family by leading a table during our Membership Class. Table leaders listen to participants share their testimonies, affirm them for membership, and welcome people into our family of faith.
Help communicate with and engage parents, host gatherings.
Assist Ministry Assistant with events, and helps with general office administrative work, data entry, general email correspondence, and assists in tasks associated with event planning.
These are individuals who are available during the week to accomplish tasks for the KV staff which include, but are not limited to: cleaning out rooms from the weekend, restocking rooms, and setting up rooms for the weekend.

Prepare engaged or seriously dating couples interested in starting a healthy, godly marriage.
As a Recovery Production team member, you'll be providing Production support for our Recovery ministry through the means of lighting, audio, and running ProPresenter. Training will be provide by one of Production Staff members to ensure you have all of the tools to fully operate by yourself.
To run slides and sound for Kids Village at the specific services they have committed to for the weekend.
The ProPresenter operator prepares and operates the equipment necessary to display live video and any graphics on all screens. The ProPresenter operator delivers the lyrics, Scripture verses, videos and message notes without error while creating visual appeal, supporting the Worship minister and pastor(s) to allow the congregation to worship the Lord without distraction (1 Cor. 10:31).
Support the leaders/ministry in connecting relationally with group members and new attenders.
We pursue and live out gospel-centered community through Recovery Groups. These groups give men and women a safe place to pursue redemption in Christ from sin and suffering.
Safety & security volunteers ensure The Village Church is a safe place to worship by providing protective, medical, and emergency management type duties.
Must be trained and experienced in law enforcement, protective, or emergency medical service. Can also possess a similar type of training or background.

Commit to serving weekly at their assigned service; we provide them with the curriculum and all the materials they need for the morning, and we send the week's lesson to any volunteers who work with kids aged 3-K in LV and all KV volunteers. The volunteers manage the classroom by following the lesson plan we've provided. They're responsible to communicate well about absences and arrive on time to service.
Serve our church through proactive hospitality by joining the greeting, ushering, parking, shuttle, connection central, host team or communion team on Sunday mornings.
