We exist to bring glory to God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, gospel-centered community, gospel-centered service and gospel-centered multiplication. This is our mission and process for discipleship. Out of this, gospel-centered service is the overflow of discipleship, serving those in and outside the church. One of the ways we pursue and live out this discipleship trait is through volunteer opportunities.
There are a lot of different ways to serve at The Village. If the list is too daunting, you can filter by campus, ministry or Areas of Interest.

The audio engineer is responsible for the set-up, monitoring and adjusting of all Worship Center audio equipment. The audio engineer focuses attention and removes distractions by crafting a professional mix and making seamless audio transitions to allow the gospel to be heard through singing songs unto the Lord and hearing the Word taught (Col. 3:16; Eph. 5:19).
To lead and implement worship through songs during the large group time in Kids Village.
The camera operator captures stage-wide to close-up shots of the announcements and teaching pastor while controlling and monitoring focus, shot composition and movement (with direction from the Technical Director) so that the speaker can be seen without distraction to the gospel that is being proclaimed (Eph. 4:12).
Replace Bibles, Connect Cards etc in the worship center.
Help during checkin time: 30 minutes before each service until 15 minutes after the service starts. Help checkin families. Can serve once a month or as frequent as weekly.

In this role, volunteers have the opportunity to shepherd and care for our littlest ones during weekend worship services through singing, dancing and teaching the truth of God’s Word.
To assist the Elementary Ministry Staff in supporting, encouraging and equipping Small Group Leaders.
Encourage, mentor and support small group leaders. Meet with them once a month, and stay in contact during the week by phone, text or email.
Communion Cleanup volunteers serve by discarding unused communion elements, washing and drying trays, and preparing the trays for use the next Sunday.
Set up services for Communion and sign up volunteers to serve.

Volunteers on the Connect Team answer basic questions about the church and help connect guests and members to the life of the church.
Volunteers in Connection Central answer questions about the church and provide ministry to guests and members as needed.
Support the leaders/ministry in connecting relationally with group members and new attenders.
These folks are responsible for helping us monitor check-in, make sure volunteers are where they need to be before we open, confirm that children are where they're supposed to be, and help the ministers with paging parents, discipline issues, or other classroom malfunctions.

The director helps focus attention and eliminate distractions by ensuring all service elements and transitions are known by everyone involved in service (Production staff, Worship team, pastors, etc.). The director is responsible for cueing transitions with the audio engineer and ProPresenter operator throughout service so that the gospel can be heard and seen without distraction (Rom. 10:17).
Helps in preparation and during events by gathering supplies, serving meals, cleaning up, communication, checkin, and other miscellaneous tasks throughout the event.

To stand at the door and greet the families as they arrive for service. Greeters' primary duty is to help families feel welcome, as well as, point them in the right direction should a family need to speak with a staff member or if they are a first time family.

Hospitality Team Members foster a warm and inviting atmosphere in the Worship Center of the Southlake campus, provide newcomers to the church a meaningful and personal interaction, and help to connect them to the life and mission of the church.

To communicate Gospel Centered teaching using the written word of God. A Large Group Teacher should be mature in their own understanding of Scripture and able to communicate basic biblical truths in a compelling way that meets kids at their level.

Volunteer who teaches the lesson to children ages 3-K.
These are individuals who are available during the week to accomplish tasks for the KV staff which include, but are not limited to: cleaning out rooms from the weekend, restocking rooms, and setting up rooms for the weekend.
Child under the age of 16 can serve in LV WITH their parent who also serves. Interview with PS minister is required prior to serving.

As a Recovery Production team member, you'll be providing Production support for our Recovery ministry through the means of lighting, audio, and running ProPresenter. Training will be provide by one of Production Staff members to ensure you have all of the tools to fully operate by yourself.
As a Students Production team member, you'll be providing Production support for our Student ministry through the means of lighting, audio, and running ProPresenter. Training will be provide by one of Production Staff members or volunteers to ensure you have all of the tools to fully operate by yourself.
The ProPresenter operator prepares and operates the equipment necessary to display live video and any graphics on all screens. The ProPresenter operator delivers the lyrics, Scripture verses, videos and message notes without error while creating visual appeal, supporting the Worship minister and pastor(s) to allow the congregation to worship the Lord without distraction (1 Cor. 10:31).
Setup and clean up for Tuesday lunches, and will intentional build relationships with HS students that come to the lunch.
To facilitate our check in process for Kids Village. They welcome families so that parents feel confident about leaving their children and kids feel cared for and excited about being in Kids Village. These volunteers will be at the front desk providing name tags to the children and corresponding tags to the parents, as well as answering any registration questions that may arise.
Helps refill supplies in the classroom, such as cheerios, diapers, cleaning supplies, etc. This is a volunteer-led team that meets once a week (and often rotates who serves each week).

To support the small group leader in the small group room. These are typically middle or high school students that serve alongside the leader in a helping capacity.
To be responsible for a group of 12-15 children of the same grade and gender. They commit to serve weekly, with a focus on building relationships and facilitating bible study during the small group time.
Adult who will lead in age/gender small group of high school students at our Sunday night program and throughout the week.

To provide one-on-one or small group assistance, support and friendship to a child with a special need in an inclusive class setting.

These volunteers mentor Steps participants in a one-on-one discipling relationship.
Stories volunteers serve the body by creating and sharing stories that speak the truth about the way things are and proclaim the gospel through photography, videography, writing, editing and other areas.
To have the ability to lead a small group in the absence of a regular small group leader. They commit to serve when they are able.
Volunteer who serves on an "as-needed" basis. These are ONLY former volunteers, not new volunteers. Therefore, this is not an advertised position.
Support the ministry in organizing volunteers
Commit to serving weekly at their assigned service; we provide them with the curriculum and all the materials they need for the morning, and we send the week's lesson to any volunteers who work with kids aged 3-K in LV and all KV volunteers. The volunteers manage the classroom by following the lesson plan we've provided. They're responsible to communicate well about absences and arrive on time to service.

Help teach and lead in the classrooms for children ages birth-kindergarten. Expectation is that they would engage with kids and seek to build relationships with families, and that they would be there more times than they are not.

Prepare and do homework beforehand, establish a caring atmosphere, facilitate small group discussion, build relationships, train co-leader, and send weekly communication emails to group.
We have a number of Covenant Members involved in various ministries and organizations near and far. We want to highlight these members and ministries to not only bring awareness to what God is doing and through our church but to also to connect our people to opportunities in which they can live out gospel-centered service, whether that be mentoring a student at a local school or serving refugees in the community.
Stephanie is the director of the Baptist Student Ministry, a student organization that exists to spread the gospel and make Christ known on college campuses.
Evan is the director of Box 7 Ministries, an independent organization that leads young adults to know and follow Jesus Christ in the marching music arts.
Brad is the president of the Central Region of College Golf Fellowship, an organization whose mission is to share the gospel with college golfers and coaches.
Jimmy is a chairman on the Board of Directors of Cornerstone Ranch, a group home built on Christian values for adults with mental and physical disabilities.
Gay is the financial secretary of IHOPE Ministries, whose goal is to inspire, equip and mobilize the Church to help Muslims follow Jesus Christ.
Wes serves on staff at Next Worldwide, an organization that seeks to make disciples through the planting of churches and training up leaders for missions.
J. David is the executive director of Kerygma Ventures, an organization dedicated to equipping individuals and churches to revel in the glory of the gospel.
Robert is the national director of Pais Movement, an organization working to spark a global movement by equipping believers to advance the gospel.
