What we do

We create spaces for all women in all seasons to connect - to God and his Word, to one another, and to opportunities at the church. We help women grow in their relationship with and likeness to Jesus Christ, with the desire to send women into their neighborhoods, homes, and workplaces with eternal perspective and purpose.

HOW WE DO THIS

We offer rhythmic discipleship spaces, like Women’s Bible Study and Women’s Discipleship Groups (formerly Praxis), and events to help women connect, grow, and be equipped.

Discipleship Spaces

Women's Discipleship Groups

Women's Discipleship Groups exists to help women seek maturity in the Lord in their daily practice of following Jesus. Each group is led by a mature godly woman who opens her home and offers her life as an example to a small group of women. The groups focus on 3 priorities: nurturing your personal relationship with Christ, living in the body of Christ, and participating in Christ’s work in the world (for short – Jesus, Community & Mission). Each week the leader teaches on one of a variety of topics and the group is called to take a step of obedience towards the Biblical teaching and to hold one another accountable to it.

Women’s Bible Study

Through personal study, small group discussion, and large group teaching, our Bible Studies provide a continuous opportunity to study books of the Bible. Whether you are new to reading the Bible or have studied it for years, you will find Women’s Bible study an inviting space to learn about God and his Word while connecting deeply with other women. Women’s Bible Study meets in the fall and spring on Tuesday mornings and Tuesday evenings.

Events

Women gather around dinner tables, sharing a meal and rich conversation. Small groups of women, including a table host, will meet in homes and in favorite restaurants across the Flower Mound/Highland Village/Lewisville area. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and learn about opportunities for discipleship, care, and service at TVC.

Core Classes present the foundations of Christianity, such as what we believe about the Triune God and how the Bible is one cohesive story. Through personal homework, group discussion, and teaching time, participants will grow in their love and knowledge of God, and in understanding of how the story of Scripture and what they believe about God are shaping their lives.

Core Classes are spaces for both men and women, as we encourage participation in mixed discipleship spaces.
