The Lord saved me when I was 6 years old by the consistent gospel modeling of my mom and church and the power of the Holy Spirit. Throughout childhood and high school, the Lord was gracious to protect and surround me with gospel-preaching friends in a gospel-preaching church.
As high school ended and college began, a series of events, including the unexpected death of my dad, led to a battle with anxiety and shame—things that were always there, but finally became manifest.
Over time, the Lord miraculously allowed me to see where my trust in Him was lacking, and He delivered me from a stronghold of control. After graduating college, my biggest prayer was answered in finding a church I could call home, The Village Church, Fort Worth campus. Since that time, I have had the privilege to serve the church, grow in my understanding and love for God, make life-long, Christ-centered friendships, experience a season of suffering, and answer the call to enter vocational ministry.
Jesus is worth the cost to follow, then and now. I am excited to serve the family of The Village and expectant of all He will do through His bride in Fort Worth.
Hope for The Village Church
My hope for The Village is that we would be a people who proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. I pray we would be marked by an outpouring of generosity, encouragement and love to one another and those who do not know Jesus, in our neighborhoods and to the ends of the earth.
