The Syrian refugee crisis is the ongoing result of civil war taking place in Syria since 2011. It has been described as “the worst humanitarian disaster of our time” and “the world’s largest refugee population," displacing more than 11 million people (over half of whom are under the age of 18) and claiming over 200,000 lives. As a part of our mission to make disciples, specifically through gospel-centered service, we are called to respond. We are called to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of these refugees by praying, giving and using our resources and influence. It is an opportunity to show the love of Christ and live out the gospel to our world.
Through Samaritan's Purse, you have the opportunity to help meet the physical needs of refugees who are fleeing to Europe from the Middle East, providing food, water and dry clothing.
Together with Pioneers, you can help deliver physical aid, holistic healthcare and discipleship resources to refugees in North Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
