Opportunities to serve in Kids' Village

Registration:

Registration workers are responsible for welcoming parents and children, greeting visitors, facilitating child check-in, answering informational questions and facilitating child check-out at the conclusion of Kids' Village.

This position is great for someone who is personable, organized and can focus with a lot of activity going on around them.

Small Group Leader:

Small Group Leaders are all about building relationships.Each week they facilitate discussion time and activities for a group of 8-12 kids.Small Group time consists of looking at passages of scripture, asking questions to help grow their understanding, showing them how the Bible relates to their lives and spending time in prayer. Small Group Leaders also facilitate activities that reinforce scripture memorization or the key point of that week's lesson.Small Group Leaders must be Covenant Members of The Village Church and commit to serve on a consistent basis.

This position is great for a person who has a love for kids, for the scriptures, has (or is willing to grow in) the ability to facilitate discussion based on passages of scripture and tie in real life examples and applications.

Kids' Village Worship Band:

The KV Worship Band enthusiastically teaches our kids what it means to worship God through singing and having fun. Not only do they sing fun, energetic, and kid-friendly songs, but worship leaders explain the meaning of the songs to the kids as they sing each one. The KV worship band includes worship leaders, background vocalists, bass players, electric guitar players, keyboard players, and drummers. Band members play at all Kids' Village services on the weekends they are scheduled. This is a great place to serve for people who are musically gifted and have a heart for worship.

Acting Team:

The Acting Team is also used to lead the large group time in Kids' Village.They develop characters, write scripts and participate in a sketch that introduces the key point for the weekend.The Acting Team is also involved in FM360, a worship experience for parents and kids, as well as VBS.

This position is great for a person who is creative, outgoing, communicates well and is able to think on their feet.

Resource and Production Team:

Helps to prepare resources for weekend services and activities.This may include helping with set design, the building of props, room decoration, cutting out lamination, preparing craft supplies, etc.Some projects can be completed at home and returned before weekend services.

This position is great for a person who loves to serve but doesn't necessarily want to work directly with children.

Kids' Village Logistics Team:

This team sets up for Kids' Village before and after services.

Being a part of this team is great for someone who loves to serve behind the scenes.
