I was born in California’s Orange County, the third of four boys. I was raised in a home with parents who proclaimed the gospel. My mother and father modeled their love for Christ daily, and the Lord warmed my heart toward Him at a very early age.
I fell head-over-heels for my wife, Allison, when we were both students at Azusa Pacific University near Los Angeles. After college, we married and moved to the Northeast so that I could attend law school. During those years, we were blessed to serve at Blue Route Vineyard Church, and our marriage flourished.
We moved back to California after graduation, but after multiple professional setbacks, God graciously revealed to me that I was idolizing my career. In a state of brokenness, I recommitted my life to Jesus, surrendered my career to Him, abandoned my legal practice and started a new career in banking.
My employer ultimately relocated us to Dallas, and Allison and I became Covenant Members at The Village in 2008. We now have three children: Audrey, Luke and Jack. The Lord has filled our days with unspeakable joy, as we surrender more and more of our lives to Him!
Hope for The Village Church
My hope for our church is that, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we would make disciples of Jesus Christ and equip them to proclaim the gospel in our world. I pray that we would glorify God in this and that He would fill our lives with ever-increasing joy.
