Spiritual Formation Pastor (Southlake)

Position Summary

The Spiritual Formation pastor is responsible for providing unified oversight of the discipleship process for the staff and members of the body in alignment with The Village Church’s theology. This is a full-time position located at the Southlake campus.

Job Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy and planning for the campus to carry out its mission and vision across all ministries
  • Set the direction and communicate the strategy and vision to the staff and campus leaders
  • Provide oversight for the campus’ staff members and ministries, including staff development, encouragement and exercising discipline
  • Ensure execution of mission and goals of the campus
  • Direct agenda and leading of regular staff meetings
  • Manage campus budget, including approval of staff expense reports
  • Oversee various initiatives from campus pastor that may arise
  • Participate in pastoral responsibilities at campus as needed
  • Preach and teach as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of ministerial leadership experience
  • Deep knowledge of and training in biblical theology
  • Understanding of church theology, philosophy and practice of ministry
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, etc.) and think strategically
  • Proficient in administrative systems (e.g., F1, Google Drive, etc.)
  • Able to make decisions, problem solve, manage conflict and work well on a team
  • Self-starter, flexible and adaptable
  • Demonstrate good time management
